Technology & Accessibility: Controlling Cancer with Cancer.Net

Learn from Brendan Kelly, Assistant Director for Cancer.Net Operations, who oversaw the development of Cancer.Net Mobile. The American Society of Clinical Oncology’s (ASCO) brings their expertise and resources to people living with cancer and those who care for and care about them through Cancer.net. Learn how this patient information mobile app allows individuals diagnosed with cancer to control Cancer by providing resources, navigating care options, offering direct communication with doctors and the tracking of progress with treatments.

Learn from a reasonable accommodation specialist and former registered nurse on how reasonable accommodations can be provided for employees who have cancer in the workplace. Managers, supervisors, and colleagues of individuals must learn how to work with their employees accordingly who have been diagnosed with cancer. Ensure that employees are accommodated in order to lead a work-life balance whereas they still can work and focus on their health at the same time. By understanding the abilities and unique requirements of individuals diagnoses with cancer, we can ensure that the USDA and other workplaces are universally designed.
