D’Ann V. Clayton serves as the Director of the TARGET Center and oversees the operations of USDA’s Accessible Technology and Resources Program.
Ms. Clayton brings a wealth of knowledge from projects in the information systems, quality management, and petroleum-chemical industries. In 2006, Ms. Clayton joined USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), as a Management Analyst to implement quality assurance initiatives in Biotechnology Regulatory Services (BRS) and obtain ISO 9001:2008 certification on BRS’ permitting products.
Prior to her appointment as Director of the TARGET Center, Ms. Clayton served as the Special Emphasis Disability Employment Program Manager at APHIS-BRS. In 2009, she was awarded the APHIS Administrator’s Civil Rights Award for demonstrating considerable commitment and dedication to facilitating employment opportunities for persons with disabilities and increasing the awareness of disability issues throughout the organization.
Ms. Clayton holds a B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering from Howard University and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
