Introducing Universal Design in Action, a new training series from the USDA TARGET Center. The featured technology this month will be TypeWell, which is a system that transcribes speech to text in real time. Trained TypeWell transcribers listen to what the speaker says and transmits text to a computer screen for the deaf and hard of hearing customer to read. Attendees will discover in-person how TypeWell works and learn the difference between TypeWell and CART services.
